2. Pasadena Little Theater is auditioning for six talented actors to bring ten captivating tales to life in the inaugural Showcase of Short Works. (pasadenian.com) — Pasadena Little Theater is casting just six local actors for its new “Short Attention Span Series, Vol. 1,” a ten-play Showcase of Short Works by Houston-area writers. Auditions are set for January 18–19, 2026, with performances March 6–15 in the revamped Black Box Studio Theatre. No headshot or resume is required, making it easy for Pasadena-area performers to jump in.

Basketball Recap: Pasadena's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday (maxpreps.com) — Pasadena’s basketball team finally snapped a 12-game losing streak with a dominant 44–8 win over Texas City, fueled by a 33-point first half. The victory moves Pasadena to 2–13 and sets up a year-ending matchup against Lutheran South Academy. Texas City, meanwhile, continues a long skid with its 32nd straight loss.
4. The four winners have emerged from Central Library's Circle of Trees competition, each shining brighter than the last.
