Houston's First Babies Of 2019: New Life On New Year's Day
The Houston area saw four new babies (that we know of) born on New Year's Day on Jan. 1, 2019.

PASADENA, TX β One of the first babies born on New Year's Day in 2019 was actually one of the last in the Houston area to be born on Jan. 1. Lucia and Jose Garza welcomed their newborn son at Bayshore Medical Center at 11:44 p.m., making the bouncing baby boy one of the last to enter the world on New Year's Day 2019.
The Garza's are still deciding on a name for the baby boy, who snuck in just under the New Yearβs Day wire.
In fact, mom barely made it to the hospital, delivering her son just four minutes after she and her husband got to the hospital.
