HPD Sergeant A Person Of Interest in Wife’s Murder
HPD Sergeant Hilario Hernandez is accused of shooting his wife to death in Pearland, officials said.
PEARLAND, TX -- Pearland Police are questioning a Houston Police sergeant for his alleged connection to the shooting death of his wife, officials said. HPD Sergeant Hilario Hernandez is considered a person of interest in the shooting death of Pearland ISD librarian Belinda Hernandez.
Relatives of the woman found her shot to death inside her home in the 1900 block of Canyon Creek Court, and called police at about noon Saturday.
Police confirmed the victims identity through family members and officials in Pearland ISD.

Sgt. Hernandez was arrested in Kingsville, near Corpus Christie, police said.
Hernandez is in police custody in Brazoria County. The shooting remains under investigation.
