1. PISD PD's Toy Drive pickup at schools was a success celebrating the joy of giving and the magic of shared generosity. (pasadenian.com) — Families in Pasadena can celebrate a successful toy drive led by the PISD Police Department, with big contributions from Earnesteen Milstead Middle, Harvey Turner Elementary, The Summit Pasadena ISD, and Kruse Elementary. Volunteers wrapped up toy pickup tired but thrilled to see local kids’ smiles, and organizers are encouraging neighbors to keep this spirit of generosity going for future efforts.

2. Pasadena-area woman takes action to save dogs from euthanasia (fox26houston.com) — Pasadena animal lovers are rallying to keep local shelter dogs from being euthanized through a boarding program run with Pasadena Animal Advocates at Work (PAAW). Led by 21-year-old Kaila Creel, the effort has already saved dozens of dogs by moving them into boarding and foster care, but it depends heavily on donations and new foster volunteers to continue.
   

3. Video: CTE future hairstylists transform snips into a masterpieces, igniting passion and precision in their craft. (pasadenian.com) — Pasadena ISD cosmetology students are getting real-world practice on men’s haircuts, using clippers and shears to build both skill and confidence. Their hands-on training highlights growing career talent within Pasadena and shows how the district’s CTE programs prepare students for solid, locally rooted careers in the beauty industry.
   

4. UIL conference cutoff numbers: Barbers Hill, Crosby joining 6A; Westfield among schools moving down (houstonchronicle.com) — Pasadena High School’s enrollment put it just shy of moving into the state’s largest UIL Class 6A, keeping the Eagles in 5A for the 2026–28 alignment. A number of nearby Houston-area schools are shifting classifications, which could change future district opponents and travel for Pasadena teams.
