The teachers have been removed from the classroom and placed on leave, but many families say they learned of the probe late and are frustrated by limited communication from the school and authorities.
   

• Texas man receives top civilian honor after Pasadena school shooting scare (khou.com) — A Pasadena Memorial High School band event turned terrifying when an 83-year-old man opened fire, wounding one person, before a Hockley father tackled and disarmed him in the hallway.
