UH Poster Boys Film McDonald's Promo After Cool Prank

SANTA MONICA, CA — Remember the two University of Houston students who pranked their local McDonald's when they placed a poster of themselves inside a Pearland restaurant? It seems the two buddies have hit the big time and have recently wrapped up filming a promo for the popular fast food chain.

Earlier this year, Jevh Maravilla and Christian Toledo embarked on their excellent adventure, and broke the Internet in the process, when they created a poster of themselves enjoying a little McDonald's fare and stealthily placed the poster in a Pearland McDonald's.

The poster, which was done because the two talented students noticed the posters displayed throughout the restaurant didn't feature any Asians, went unnoticed through the summer months.

"When we first put the posters in the restaurant, I never thought it would get this big," Toledo said. "All of this is so incredible."

The incredible prank went viral landed the two young men on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, netted a cash prize of $25,000 each from DeGeneres, and a deal to film the next McDonald's promo.

The students filmed the McDonald's promo on Oct. 3, and wrapped up after a day.

"It's hard to pin point what's the most exciting part because the whole thing is so exciting to me," Maravilla said.

The new McDonald's promo is currently running on YouTube.
