This Is What's Happening This Weekend In Pasadena

Friday night lights, parks and museums, and the Houston Zoo offer something to do in and near Pasadena this weekend.

PASADENA, TX -- There’s a lot happening in Pasadena this weekend and you’ll want to be a part of all the fun. Whether you love parks, sporting events, restaurants there should be plenty to keep you on your toes this weekend.

Friday Night Lights|Everywhere| All games start at 7 p.m.| It’s the season of Friday night lights with high school gridiron action. Tonight Sam Rayburn takes on Episcopal. The Dobie Longhorns play the Bellaire Cardinals in Houston, and Manvel takes on Crosby while Channelview and Aldine Eisenhower tangle in high school action. It’s gonna be a good time.

Team Up To Clean Up|Pasadena| 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.| It’s time to roll up your sleeves and help your neighbors. The program was designed to pair volunteers with Pasadena homeowners who are in need of assistance to complete necessary exterior repairs and improvements to their homes. The Houston Zoo|Houston| Open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.| It may be rainy this weekend, but the Houston Zoo is always fun no matter the weather. Catch a sea lion show, see the elephants' bath, or maybe even touch a snake or an armadillo. Check out the attractions and fall in love with the wild things.
Pasadena Parks|Open daily| Whether its Red Bluff, Strawberry, or Crenshaw Park there’s plenty of reasons to get out and stay healthy and focused. Enjoy the jogging trails, dog parks, aquatics center, and tennis and basketball courts. IF you’re not into any of that, it’s a great place to people watch too.
