Adolfson & Peterson completes two new hospital facilities in Texas
Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex welcomes new additions to healthcare infrastructure

Plano, Texas - Adolfson & Peterson, a Minneapolis-based construction firm, recently completed the construction of two hospital facilities in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, with a combined investment of $37 million. These new hospitals, opened last month, are a significant addition to Reunion Rehabilitation Hospitals' extensive healthcare network.
These facilities are located in Plano and Arlington, Texas. They were developed in partnership with America Development & Investments, a recognized Dallas-based healthcare real estate developer. As conveyed by Allison Klingsick, Adolfson & Peterson's spokesperson, both hospitals began operations in July.
Reunion Rehab Plano spans 2.5 acres and covers a total area of 55,617 square feet. The hospital, which started its construction in October 2021, includes 48 patient rooms, advanced therapy gyms, an outdoor courtyard, dayroom areas, spaces designated for physical therapy, staff amenities, food service and dining facilities, and administrative offices.

Conversely, the Reunion Rehab Arlington facility is a three-story establishment covering 50,800 square feet. It has been designed to cater to both patients and medical staff, offering dedicated rooms for medical personnel, patient dayrooms, dining facilities, fitness and therapy spaces, and an outdoor courtyard. This courtyard is specially designed for rehabilitation purposes, aiding patients in practicing walking on different surfaces and inclines. The Arlington facility commenced its construction in January 2021.
It's worth noting that Adolfson & Peterson's association with Reunion Rehab is not new. As per a press release, the contractor previously built three other hospitals for Reunion Rehab, located in Phoenix and Peoria, Arizona, and Inverness, Colorado.

In the previous year, Adolfson & Peterson had notable construction activities in Texas, including the building of the PGA of America's headquarters in Frisco. Furthermore, in May, the company secured a $74 million contract to refurbish the office of defense contractor Raytheon in Plano, Texas. Tommy Meserole, AP’s director of preconstruction for central Texas, emphasized the region's growth potential in a March interview with Construction Dive, stating, “It’s a thriving region and the continual influx of people and businesses requires bigger buildings and more transportation infrastructure.”
