Plano, Texas - The well-known Texas grocery store, H-E-B, has opened a new online order fulfillment center in Plano.

This new center is part of H-E-B's plan to use advanced technology and grow its online services, with the goal of making shopping easier and more convenient for people living in Texas.

The new center is located next to the H-E-B store at 6001 Preston Rd in Plano. Covering 55,000 square feet, this large center will help improve the store's curbside pickup and home delivery services in Plano. It will also help service nearby stores, including the soon-to-open stores in McKinney and Allen, and the H-E-B store in Frisco. This move strengthens H-E-B's presence in the area and shows the store's commitment to its growing customer base.

H-E-B is known for being a good place to work and is currently hiring for full and part-time positions at this new center. Those who get hired will work with the latest technologies in the industry to help fill customer orders.

The new facility in Plano will also create over 125 new jobs. People interested in joining H-E-B's online grocery team, named the best in the U.S. last year by research firm Dunnhumby, can apply at heb.com/careers.

H-E-B's Vice President of eCommerce, Kedar Patel, said, "At H-E-B, we’re always looking for ways to offer Texans a better shopping experience and more options to choose how they shop, pay for, and receive their products,."

The online order fulfillment centers are filled with items from the store to help with curbside pickup and home delivery orders. They help H-E-B handle more orders, work more efficiently, reduce crowding in the store aisles, and make sure products are always available.

H-E-B is using automated technology to speed up the order process and increase productivity at these centers. This allows H-E-B to serve more customers, making its curbside pickup and home delivery services better. These services are available at over 270 H-E-B stores in Texas.

As part of its mission to give back to the community, H-E-B donated $5,000 to the Plano ISD Robotics Club at the grand opening of the new center, Dallas Metro News reported.

This is the sixth online order fulfillment center that H-E-B has opened since 2018. The company plans to open more centers across Texas by the end of next year to help with its growth in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
