Westwood Professional Services to move headquarters to Plano
Westwood Professional Services has announced plans to relocate its headquarters to Plano by the end of 2023.

Plano - Minnesota-based engineering giant, Westwood Professional Services, with a workforce of 1,600 across 27 offices nationwide, has announced plans to relocate its headquarters to Plano by the end of 2023.
The Dallas Metro News reports that Westwood is already a familiar name in the city, with a significant number of its upper management operating from an existing office at 2901 Dallas Parkway in Plano.
“Our corporate headquarters will be in Plano by year’s end,” Westwood’s Chief Operations Officer Bryan Powell told Dallas Business Journal.

Westwood, a rapidly growing entity, has a diversified market presence, including sectors like wind and solar energy, energy storage, power delivery, EV infrastructure, and commercial, institutional, residential, and public infrastructure. The firm's proactive strategy over the years to widen its market footprint and enhance its services has prompted acquisitions of several North Texas-based businesses.
The firm had previously absorbed Pacheco Koch Consulting Engineers, the 12th largest engineering company in North Texas at the time, into its corporate portfolio in 2021. Further cementing its expansion plans, on June 30, 2023, Westwood declared its acquisition of North Texas-based Peloton Land Solutions, a firm specializing in land development.

“Their people are top of the industry and complement Westwood’s strong team,” said in an official statement Powell of the Peloton acquirement. “We look forward to the expansion of Westwood and the professional service capabilities we can offer clients.”
Westwood is eyeing regions experiencing population growth for its expansion, as it naturally leads to demands for housing, infrastructure, and energy.
"Where high population centers are, that’s where we want to invest… Because of that, we’ll continue to invest heavily in the DFW market and Texas,” Powell explained.
The relocation of the headquarters is not associated with any announcement of new job creation. However, it represents a significant economic boon for Plano. The move will stimulate local businesses with an expected rise in spending from visiting employees.
