Xplor Preschool Students in Corinth Hold Ladybug Release for Earth Day

Students celebrated Earth Day and protecting the environment by releasing beneficial bugs into their schoolyard to help local vegetation

On April 21, students at Xplor Preschool & School Age Care in Corinth bugged out in celebration of Earth Day as they released ladybugs throughout the schoolyard and back into the environment on plants, flowers and trees. Students also participated in an Earth Day parade where they marched down the hallway dressed in the likeness of ladybugs wearing red and black.

Leading up to Earth Day, students learned that ladybugs serve as a natural pesticide by feeding on insects that could otherwise harm the health of gardens, trees and shrubs. Xplor Preschool & School Age Care teaches the importance of community and exploring nature at an early age.
