• Acosta attorneys: Guns at his house were for ‘safekeeping' (bigbendsentinel.com) — A Presidio resident facing federal gun-smuggling charges is arguing through his attorneys that firearms found at his home and vehicles were stored only as a favor for friends heading into Mexico. Prosecutors say phone records suggest weapons were dropped off in Presidio before crossing the border, while both sides battle over whether he should remain free on bond and how much of a risk he poses.
