Here are the top three stories today in Round Rock:

  1. The Austin Fire Department, Round Rock Fire Department, and other surrounding fire departments responded to more than 140 fires in 24 hours, from Jul. 4 to Jul. 5. The Austin crews said it was mostly small grass, dumpster, and trash fires. However, several of the fires grew and reached one to two acres in size. There were also three structure fires.   2. Round Rock Creates has launched a public survey for residents to share their ideas and desires for the future of arts and culture in the city. The survey, called the Round Rock Creates Master Plan and Study, is open through Aug. 19. It is available online, at the Downtowner Gallery and the Round Rock Public Library. (City of Round Rock)
