2 More Die Of Coronavirus In Williamson County

The historical death count in the county reached 67 after a woman in her 80s and a man in his 50s succumbed to respiratory illness.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — Two more county residents have died of the coronavirus, bringing the historical fatality count to 67, officials said Friday.

The latest succumbing to respiratory illness were a woman in her 80s and a man in his 50s, health officials said in an advisory. Officials were precluded from providing further details given patient privacy laws.

“Today may be the end of a work week, but it is not the end of our fight against COVID-19," Williamson County Judge Bill Gravell said in a prepared statement. "As your county judge, I ask that you take care of yourselves by following the safety measures set in place by the health care professionals. These guidelines not only help stop the spread of the virus, but also protect and preserve lives.”
