- If you're still waiting for your debris from the ice storm to be picked up, the city notes that you should have the brush at your curb by March 10 for the second round of pickups. There is No special request needs to be filed online for this second round, but any pickups needed after March 10 will have to be requested. Once storm debris cleanup is finished, the normal $25 curbside pickup fee will be reinstated. Free mulch can be picked up at the Brush Recycling center on Deepwood Drive. More on this story at City of Round Rock.
- Remember the Seed Library from the old location? It's back at the new and improved library on the first floor, in the Business center. "The Seed Library is a unique collection of open-pollinated and heirloom seeds. Any Round Rock citizen can borrow and donate seeds! Donations can be given to Library staff on the 1st floor Circulation desk." No library card is required to borrow seeds. Get all of the details at City of Round Rock.
- With spring around the corner, plenty of fun is on the calendar, with these activities in March and April. On March 10, the Williamson County Symphony Orchestra will perform at Round Rock First United Methodist Church. Shaylah Dame Artistic Scholarship Fish Fry will be at the American Legion George Johns Post 447, serving up good eats, with profits going toward scholarships for local students.
