Area Resident Activists, Technologists Invited To Virtual Meetup

Open Austin will host a remote Community Action Night (CAN) to work on an open source project that addresses the needs of the community.

ROUND ROCK, TX — Austin-area resident activists and technologists are invited to an evening of working on an open source project about open gov, open data and civic technology in Austin as part of the (Remote) Community Action Night. The virtual event hosted by Open Austin, focused on the needs of their own community and using design, technology, and open data to improve the quality of life in their city.

Scheduled Wednesday, Sept. 23 from 7 p.m. - 9:30 p.m., the conference link via Zoom will be made available upon RSVP. Detailed setup instructions may be found HERE. The virtual meeting will include announcements and spotlight on local COVID-19 efforts, followed by project breakout groups where participants can join a video chat in that project's channel in the Open Austin Slack organization.
