Austin Organic Gardeners Hosts Virtual Meeting On Victory Gardens

AOG Members and the community are invited to a Zoom meeting on the history of Victory Gardens, including a Q&A and conversation.

ROUND ROCK, TX — Austin Organic Gardeners (AOG), offering members an opportunity to share information about successfully raising vegetables and ornamentals without using harsh fertilizers and toxic pesticides that that harm the soil and disturb the ecological balance, will host a virtual meeting with Anastasia Day, The Historian in the Garden, talking about Victory Gardens.

The club normally meets the second Monday of each month at the Zilker Botanical Garden, but has transitioned to a virtual meeting place as a result of the pandemic. Visitors are welcome to the educational presentation, and there will be a question-and-answer session and conversation following the virtual meeting. The upcoming meeting scheduled Monday, September 14 at 6 p.m. will delve into the history of Victory Gardens to discuss many of the myths surround the World War II-era gardens.
