Here are the top three stories in Round Rock today:

  1. In March, multiple leaks were discovered in pipes across the city that lead into the city's regional wastewater plant. Over the weekend, locals continued to send emails to City, County, and State officials about the water quality in the facility contaminating Brushy Creek. In response to the concerns, Round Rock utilities director Michael Thane and the City of Round Rock will be meeting with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality this week. At the meeting, they plan to address the water quality concerns in Brushy Creek and review their current permits. (KVUE)
  2. The Round Rock Veteran’s Coalition and the City of Round Rock will host a community event honoring and remembering fallen service members on May 30. The free event will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Yonders Point Plaza in Old Settlers Park, located at 3103 Aten Loop in Round Rock. There will be a performance by the Williamson County Quartet and the sidewalks will be lined by members of the Stony Point High School JROTC. (Community Impact Newspaper)
