  1. Round Rock streetlights are currently under ownership by Oncor Electronic Delivery Company LLC. Maintaining the 5,604 streetlights is an ongoing issue, as repairs are not performed by the city and the cost is high, $731,497.32 a year, contracted through Oncor. At an upcoming March 9 meeting, officials will consider several measures, such as consulting services from Tanko Streetlighting, to help negotiate the purchase from Oncor and switch to LED lighting. The cost of consulting services would be $172,865, paid from the city's general fund upon approval. Community Impact Newspaper has the full scoop.
