Here are the top three stories in Round Rock today:
- The Clay Madsen Recreation Center will re-open today, Apr. 4, and regular operating hours will resume. Not all repairs have been completed, therefore the outdoor sport court will be closed and only a small section of the weight room will be open. The gym courts, pool, racquetball courts, the yard (outdoor fitness area), game room, and group exercise will all be open. (Round Rock Texas News)
- Mayor Craig Morgan announced that the city created the Round Rock cares website to give financial assistance to those impacted by the tornadoes. Hundreds of homes were devastated and officials say there is a long road to recovery ahead. Anyone in need of assistance due to the tornadoes can submit an application to the Round Rock cares website. (CBS Austin)
- The Round Rock Express 2022 season opens tomorrow, Apr. 5, at 7:05 p.m. The Triple-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers will play against the El Paso Chihuahuas at Dell Diamond. First-year manager Matt Hagen said, "I can honestly say this is by far the most talented group we’ve had." (KXAN.com)
