Crochet Enthusiasts Take Part In Round Rock Art Collaboration
The Collaborative Art Project will collect crochet squares to join into hearts that will be hung in the windows of the Downtowner Gallery.

ROUND ROCK, TX—You're invited to a Community Art Collaboration to spread kindness, positivity and love in Round Rock this 2021. The collaborative project is based on the massive and beautiful Urchin Project showcased in Singapore, and the Round Rock project is the brainchild of local resident Natalie Weichel who contributed to the Singapore display.
Giant Crochet Hearts is an art collaboration intended to connect the community while socially distanced. Free Zoom sessions about the Crochet Project will be available to interested participants, and Natalie will share a bit about her involvement in the Urchin project, as well as demonstrate simple crochet techniques to add to the community's own collaborative project.
The event is open to all, whether you love to crochet, or you're a beginner to the craft. The first session will be Saturday, Jan. 9 at 3 p.m. Art Talk and Learn to Crochet Tutorial is a chance to bring your crochet hook and some yarn (any type or size), or stop by to watch and shop later.
