Here are the top 3 stories today in Round Rock:

  1. State representative James Talarico, D-Round Rock, is one of several Texas Democrats that have filed to have abortion measures reinstated. “I think Texas women should be the ones to make decisions about their own bodies, their own future, and their own healthcare, not the government," Representative Talarico told CBS Austin. The Food and Drug Administration made an announcement that it would be expanding the option of allowing abortion-inducing medication to be sold in stores instead of needing a doctor's prescription. 2. Sage Veterinary Imaging of Round Rock is going to be providing the very first human-quality CT scanner for pets. "The 128-slice CT scanner provides more detectors and larger volume coverage and shorter scan times than common single CT scanners." One great benefit of these scanners is that it works quickly enough that many patients will not need the anesthetics that make them feel sick. 3. I'm a guilty local that hasn't crossed off everything off this awesome list of free things to do in Round Rock. Here's a few of the cool things you can check off your list: Checking out sculptures at Chisholm Trail Park, evening bat-watching at McNeil overpass bridge, and the Round Rock Car Show.
