Fill The Cop Car Food Drive Benefits Round Rock Serving Center
The 2020 Fill the Cop Car event partners with the U.S. Army and the community to donate non- perishable food items at various locations
ROUND ROCK, TX—Friends and neighbors are invited to participate in the Round Rock Police Departement's 2020 Fill the Cop Car Food Drive in partnership with the U.S. Army to benefit the Round Rock Area Serving Center. The community is invited to donate non-perishable food items to be collected at the following stores throughout the City including:
- H-E-B, 250 University Blvd.
- H-E-B, 1700 East Palm Valley Blvd.
- H-E-B, 3750 Gattis School Rd.
- H-E-B, 603 Louis Henna Blvd.
The event scheduled Saturday, Oct. 17 from 12 p.m. - 6 p.m. is an opportunity to team up with the Round Rock Serving Center to serve low-income people and families in crisis situations through a food distribution program. The Fill the Cop Car Food Drive was founded in 2013, and last year's event proudly raised over 6,700 pounds of food and $3,560 in cash and gift cards.
At 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, participants will hike two miles from the U.S. Army Round Rock Recruiting Center to the Round Rock Area Serving Center carrying rucksacks filled with food. The Round Rock community is welcome to join the hike and lend support to the men and women of the RRPD and U.S. Army. For more information, click HERE.
