Here are the top three stories in Round Rock today:

  1. Slowly but surely, things are returning to normal. Half Price Books has re-opened its Round Rock location for the first time since the tornado hit in March. The store was damaged during Mar. 21's tornado, which caused more than $32 million in damage across Round Rock. (Community Impact Newspaper)
  2. Looking for work in the Round Rock area? Look no further. Patch collected local job listings for your perusal. Jobs range from customer service to warehousing and truck driving. Salaries range from $15 per hour to $160,000 per year. (Round Rock Patch)
  3. Auto thefts in March were up by nearly 40 percent year-over-year, according to the Austin Police Department. In 2022, 466 instances of auto theft were recorded by Austin PD, while in 2021 by the same point there had been only 341 thefts. In one of the most recent cases in the area, a dog was also stolen along with a car parked outside a Round Rock 7-Eleven. (Fox News)
