- "Everything is bigger in Texas" is a common saying in our state, and students of Stony Point High School's floral design program really represented that motto this week! Their 15-foot-tall mum had to be trimmed a bit to hang safely from a second-floor balcony, but the students were still very proud of their hard and creative work in putting this beauty together. "Stony Point's floral design program says that they are hoping to make an even bigger mum, next year!" (Austin News Place)
- Round Rock Police Department says that they are currently investigating several burglaries of motor vehicles that have taken place overnight in hotel parking lots near SH-45 and AW Grimes Blvd. While RRPD continues to patrol those areas, no suspects have been identified. RRPD recommends parking in well-lit areas that are close to surveillance cameras, to lessen chances of becoming a victim of this type of crime. (Round Rock Police Department)
