  1. Round Rock police are trying to identify a jugging suspect from Nov. 2022. From the victim's story, she withdrew money from a Wells Fargo, drove to and then entered the Goodwill on Smyers Lane, and came back out of the store to see that her vehicle window had been broken and her belongings stolen. Surveillance cameras recorded a decently clear snapshot of the suspect's face. (KVUE)
  2. Industrial warehouse development First Settlers Grove broke ground last year on the first four buildings, and that project is expected to be completed in June 2023. The last set of four buildings is expected to finish construction in August 2023, completing this 631,000-square-foot development. (Community Impact Newspaper)
  3. Texas State University's St. David’s School of Nursing in Round Rock received a "$100,000 award to participate in a groundbreaking initiative to enhance the quality & methods of nursing education." The concept is to encourage schools to redesign curriculum to focus on "competency-based learning and assessment." Texas State was one of only 10 other schools to receive the award in the entire U.S. Working together with statewide colleagues, Texas State hopes to be part of the change in educating future nurses to be more "practice-ready" after completing their studies.
