Local artists featured in the Downtowner Gallery

Round Rock Prints is on view through February 26th

This marks the Downtowner Gallery's second year as a participating location in the annual Print Austin event, and its "Round Rock Prints" exhibit offers up a wide selection of printmaking techniques in both 2D and 3D art, including; cyanotype, block print, Intaglio, monotype, etching, relief print, screenprint, linocut, collagraph, and silkscreen

For this exhibition celebrating the art of printmaking, local artists have drawn from a diverse array of inspiration sources:

  • Japanese literature
  • exploring technique and the artistic process
  • the natural world
  • mental health and wellness
  • beauty
  • abstract art movements
  • humor
  • Pokemon
  • Edgar Allan Poe
  • creative reuse
  • philosophy
  • creative challenges
