- A Round Rock mother, 21-year-old Victoria Tristan, is in custody at Williamson County jail as of Thursday, Jun. 23. Tristan was arrested after leaving her one-year-old in a bathtub unattended in January, allegedly leading to the 1-year-old's death by drowning. According to the affidavit, "Tristan knowingly, by omission, caused serious bodily injury when she left the child unattended in the bath." (KXAN)
- On Thursday, Jun. 23, the Round Rock City Council approved amending its existing trash pickup contract with Central Texas Refuse to help with trash problems and delays. The council also approved an ordinance to allow the collection of commercial refuse by other companies that have contracts with the city. (KVUE)
- Developers for The District proposed changes to the development to the Round Rock City Council and the Transportation and Economic Development Corporation on Thursday, Jun. 23. Changes to the 65.5-acre mixed-use project planned for SH 45 just east of IH 35 include increasing the total square footage, height, and density. According to Justin Basie, Senior Vice President of Mark IV Capital, the changes are in response to major market changes since the pandemic. (City of Round Rock)
- Round Rock Parks and Recreation continue repairs from the March tornado at Clay Madsen Recreation Center. On Thursday, Jun. 23, the Round Rock City Council approved the purchase of a $103,489.62 fabric shade structure to cover the center's tennis courts that were damaged in the tornado.
