🌱 Man Arrested In RR For Murder Of 70-Year-Old + RRPL Book Donations

Here are the top three stories in Round Rock today:

1. On Saturday (Aug. 13), the Williamson County Sheriff's Office arrested 26-year-old Joshua Anthony Gilbreath in Round Rock and charged him with the murder of Diana Lynn Pier, a 70-year-old grandmother. Pier was found shot to death in what investigators believe was an "unprovoked" and "random" act of violence. Gilbreath has a $1 million bond. (KXAN)
2. Due to last weekend's Friends of the Round Rock Public Library Moving Sale, book donations are not accepted at this time until further notice. The Friends are reorganizing their surplus of materials after the sale and ask the public to hold onto the donations until notified. To keep supporting the Friends of the Library, you can shop at the Book Nook used book sales, located at the Round Rock Public Library on the first and second floors. (City of Round Rock)
3. Round Rock Dragons defensive lineman Ansel Nedore has committed to Texas Tech for the 2023 season. The 6-foot-3, 260-pound defensive tackle was named the District 25-6A defensive lineman of the year last season. (Lubbock Online)
