1. On Jun. 2, 32-year-old Ezra Neal stole an ambulance from St. David’s Hospital on 32nd Street in Austin and drove it to Round Rock. Police arrested Neal in the HEB parking lot near University Boulevard. Neal faces a first-degree felony charge of auto theft of $300,000 or more and a third-degree felony charge of evading in a motor vehicle. (KXAN)
2. "Austin-Round Rock" was named number two in 24/7 Wall St.'s "Cities With the Strongest Economies in 2022." Austin-Round Rock area had a 19 percent wage growth and 12.5 percent employment growth from 2015 to 2020. And 46 percent of adults in the Austin-Round Rock area have a bachelor’s degree or higher.
