Here are the top three stories today in Round Rock:

  1. A man who was last seen in Round Rock was found just a few hours after a Clear Alert was issued for him. Before he was found, 23-year-old William Forney was last seen in the 200 block of Bass Pro Drive in Round Rock at 5:12 p.m. on July 30. According to the Southlake Police Department, Forney was found, and the alert was discontinued. (FOX 7 Austin)
  2. The City of Round Rock is holding its monthly Household Hazardous Waste Collection event on Wednesday, Aug. 3 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. The event allows residents to safely dispose of residential paint and up to 25 gallons of other household chemicals and is free for Round Rock water customers. A driver’s license and City water bill is required as proof of residency. (City of Round Rock)
  3. The Friends of the Round Rock Public Library is hosting a huge sale on books, audiobooks, and more in preparation for the library’s move to its new building. Residents who are interested can visit Meeting Room C on Saturday, Aug. 6, from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Sunday, Aug. 7, from 1 to 5:30 p.m. for deals on books, movies, and audiobooks.
