Here are the top three stories in Round Rock today:
- The family of missing 31-year-old Timothy Perez is asking the Round Rock community for help. Timothy was last seen on Mar. 5, 2022, in Round Rock after having car trouble on the I-35 near Parmer. Round Rock Police confirmed that he had been sighted and they had taken a photo at the time, but they did not know he was missing at the time because the BOLO was not out. The family asks anyone with information to call Chris Monroe at 512-844-7933 or Texas EquuSearch at 281-309-9500. (KHOU)
- Robbery cases are declining in most of the country, except in the Austin-Round Rock-Georgetown metropolitan area. The Austin-Round Rock-Georgetown metropolitan area had one of the largest increases in the robbery rate of any U.S. metro area. But the area's robbery rate, 62.4 reported incidents per 100,000 people, is still below the 73.9 nationwide rate. (The Center Square)
