Here are the top three stories in Round Rock today:
- Beginning at 9:00 a.m. today, Jul. 15, one of the driveways to the Market at Round Rock Shopping Plaza will be closed. The closure is due to construction related to the RM 620 roundabout project. It is expected to reopen by October 2022. The driveway closest to McDonald's will remain open. (City of Round Rock)
- The city of Round Rock's Logan Street Connection project has been recognized as Project of the Year. The project was recognized on Jun. 14 by the Texas Chapter of the American Public Work Association (APWA). Round Rock's Transportation Department has presented the award at the TX-APWA Annual Conference at the Frisco Convention Center. (City of Round Rock)
- The Texas Commission on Law Enforcement doubled the number of training opportunities this summer. They also plan to increase the availability of the school marshal program. The recent training demonstration in Round Rock is an example of scenario-based training that prepares teachers and school staff to carry guns on campus. (Dallas News)
