Here are the top three stories in Round Rock today:
- Round Rock's first-ever Pride Festival will take place on Jun. 4 at Centennial Plaza. The festivities include a parade, LGBTQ-centric vendors, live entertainment, and a performance
from the Austin Babtist Women comedy troupe. Round Rock resident Richard Parson is the founder of Round Rock PRIDE, which will host the city’s inaugural Pride fest. Parson said the Pride Festival is "historic. It’s the first one in Round Rock, and it’s significant because of the indication of the growth of our [LGBTQ+] community." (KXAN) - Jeremy Story and Dustin Clark, the two men arrested last year for disrupting a Round Rock ISD board meeting, are now suing RRISD and the board members. Story and Clark said, "the school district conspired to violate plaintiffs’ constitutional rights when they tried to reveal the illegal hiring of Superintendent Hafedh Azaiez, expose Azaiez’s alleged assault of his pregnant extra-marital girlfriend, and object to a tax rate increase during an effectively closed meeting." (KXAN)
- The Round Rock Public Library has added more than 200 Pimsleur language-learning lessons on Libby. Library cardholders can now access Pimsleur Language Program ebooks anytime. (City of Round Rock)
