Rain Barrels Offer Opportunities To Ramp Up Water Conservation
The City of Round Rock invites residents to purchase 50-gallons capacity rain barrels available at a discounted price for a limited time.
ROUND ROCK, TX—Looking to do your part to conserve water this Spring? Round Rock area residents are invited to purchase their rain barrels online available at a discounted price for a limited time only. Rainwater barrels are used to harvest rain water to use on your lawn, plants and landscape and is a great conservation tool that prevents water waste.
The benefits of collecting rainwater includes:
- Better for plants than treated water
- Reduces/prevents soil erosion
- Helps keep your water bill to a minimum
- Helps conserve our drinking water supply
The rain barrels available for purchase will be offered over 40% off retail price and customers may order online through Friday, April 2. The rain barrels offered are 50-gallons capacity and are priced at $72.50 (retail price $129).

- Pick-up Date: you will receive an email with pick-up details, tentatively scheduled for early April
- Pick-up Location: The City Utility & Transportation Bob Bennett Building at 3400 Sunrise Rd, Round Rock, TX 78665.
