Red Roof hosts Healing & Hailing BBQ for Round Rock Police

Community event featured free food and entertainment to celebrate those who serve and protect

To honor local law enforcement for the tremendous work they do on a daily basis to serve and protect the Austin and Round Rock community, Red Roof hosted a ‘Healing and Hailing BBQ’ at the Red Roof Inn Austin–Round Rock on Tuesday, June 26th. Community members from Round Rock and surrounding areas came out to pay tribute and personally give thanks to law enforcement, while enjoying a free BBQ graciously provided by Rudy’s Country Store and Bar-B-Q Round Rock.

“Federal, state and local law enforcement in Austin and Round Rock have been nothing short of heroic this year as they tirelessly and fearlessly work to protect our citizens every, single day,” said Neal Patel, Owner, Red Roof Inn Austin–Round Rock. “It was an honor to thank them for their efforts with members of our local community during this celebration in Round Rock.”

At the event, Round Rock Police Department’s Assistant Chief Willie Richards was present, alongside members of their SWAT, Motors, and K9 group. “Events like this give us an opportunity to interact with our community in a unique way,” said Richards. “We are privileged, honored and happy to serve the Round Rock community every day,” he concluded.

In addition to meeting local law enforcement and savoring delicious food from Rudy’s, attendees enjoyed a live radio broadcast presented by 101X Alternative Austin, Austin’s top alternative radio station, and giveaways courtesy of Red Roof.
