1. A Round Rock-based company will play an integral role in the Austin MotoGP this coming weekend. Volcon ePowersports, an all-electric off-road powersports company, will offer a fleet of motorcycles for racers at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin on Apr. 9-10. The collection of 2022 Grunts was produced at Volcon's headquarters in Round Rock. (Cycle News)
2. A new study found that out-of-state residents moving to Texas is not the primary reason for rising home costs in the Lone Star State. According to a recent report from the Texas Real Estate Research Center, the average cost of a single-family home in the Austin-Round Rock area is $573,123 ⁠— a 45.4 percent increase from the year prior. The study did not find a relationship between migration and housing prices statewide, noting that other factors like a lack of inventory and interest rates are playing a more significant role in the spike.
