Here are the top stories in Round Rock today:

  1. Calling all musical performers and singers to the plate! Round Rock Express baseball is looking for talented individuals, or groups of 10 or fewer people, to sing the national anthem at this year's home games. For those interested in auditioning, time is of the essence, only about 50 spots are available. In-person auditions will be on Feb. 21 from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. Check out all of the details at KVUE.
  2. Did you know that our very own Rock'n River was named the "2022 Water Park of the Year"? The Texas Public Pool Council awarded the waterpark for its impact on the youth and families of Round Rock. This attraction "served over 109,000 guests in 2022" and gave guests a high value for the affordable entry fees. Other notable awards: "1st place win for Round Rock’s Lifeguards at the CTAA Regional competition and a 2nd place win at the Texas State Lifeguard Competition in 2022." (City of Round Rock)
  3. Detectives with Austin police are seeking the public's help in identifying a suspect involved in a murder case. Police believe that this fourth person involved in the murder of 18-year-old Andrew Clayton Johnson, has connections to suspect 18-year-old Zavien Nathaniel Castilleja, and likely frequents the Round Rock area.
