🌱 Round Rock Firefighters Provide Support + Leaky Wastewater Pipes

Here are the top three stories today in Round Rock:

1. A group of Round Rock firefighters is coming to the aid of an RRFD driver whose home was hit in the Salado tornado on Tuesday. “The closer we got to our house, the more devastating it got,” said Josh Bonney, who was not home at the time the tornado touched down. Round Rock firefighters came through with cleanup help and a $1,000 donation to assist with immediate expenses from the Round Rock Association of Professional Firefighters Local 3082 and the Texas State Association of Firefighters. 3. Round Rock is set to spend thousands of dollars fixing leaky wastewater pipes in the area. The City of Round Rock found there were leaks leading to more water than normal at the city's main wastewater treatment facility about six weeks ago. Further investigation showed small cracks and breaks rather than one main break. Up to three contractors will have to fix the pipes and work has already begun with the second set of contractors budgeted at $250,000. (KVUE.com)
