  1. Local specialists and school district officials will provide information on fentanyl awareness on April 3, at Raymond E. Hartfield Performing Arts Center. Parents and audience members will be able to ask questions after the presentation. "Lifesteps will also have Narcan and medical disposable bags available on a first come, first served basis for adults." For those who cannot attend, the meeting will be livestreamed on the district’s Board Meeting website. FOX 7 Austin has more on the event.
  2. Thirty-eight-year-old Jerry Rendon was arrested in South Austin for the robbery of a pawn shop in Round Rock March 13. With the help of the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Task Force, "Rendon was transported and booked at the Williamson County jail. He was charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon." Get the full story at FOX 7 Austin.
  3. Changes are coming in June to the paratransit system in Round Rock, and to the "fixed-line system where paratransit riders are picked up and dropped off on a daily schedule." The City of Round Rock’s Transportation Director Gary Hudder said that instead, due to low ridership in some areas, the city will provide on-demand service similar to ride shares. The change excludes six paratransit riders, who already were notified. KXAN has the full scoop on this story.
