“When you do a lot of little things right, it adds up to a big impression — that’s really the core of my values,” Cervi said in a statement. “There won’t be a better looking school district than Round Rock ISD while I am here.”

Cervi has also served as Director of Maintenance and Project Manager for Oklahoma City Public Schools and as the Director of Central Services for Norman Public Schools. Prior to his work in operations, Cervi was a teacher and coach in Oklahoma.

“We are excited to welcome Bob, who brings essential knowledge to Round Rock ISD,” said Dr. Steve Flores, Superintendent of Schools. “With 11 years as an educator, Bob has insight into the classroom and strong leadership skills that will undoubtedly benefit the RRISD students, staff and community.”

Carpenter comes to Round Rock after 10 years of experience in a private law firm in Irving and Houston where she represented school districts and trained district personnel, including school boards.

“I am excited about being here in Round Rock ISD because I get to work with children,” Carpenter said in a statement. “I have a passion for education and I am really looking forward to being more involved in the day-to-day work of a school district, making the world better for children.”

Carpenter has previously worked in Arlington ISD and at the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Carpenter earned a Bachelor’s Degree in journalism from Texas Southern University and a Doctorate in law enforcement from the University of Texas at Austin.

“Sandra’s expertise and knowledge of education law is an asset to Round Rock ISD,” Flores said in the release. “I look forward to working with Sandra and our governmental relations team as our district continues to grow into the destination district for public schools.”
