- Coming up on Nov. 17, "Round Rock ISD trustees will consider policies relating to books in libraries and classrooms." These policies detail the process in which books that are used for instructional purposes and reading assignments, are challenged or asked to be removed from the library. Challenges are usually brought by "parents or guardians who find the resources questionable." To learn more, head over to Community Impact Newspaper.
- In Texas, we are in the "very high" activity level for current medical visits for flu-like symptoms and/or diagnosis. "The flu season is also “notoriously unpredictable,” Shuford said, meaning officials do not know how flu activity will look for the rest of the year and going into 2023." Overall, people's immunity to the flu have decreased in the past couple of years, due to the precautions taken during the pandemic. - LOGIX Fiber Networks is bringing its fiber network to the Switch Inc. data center, which is currently being built within Dell Headquarters. Switch Inc. is expected to open its data center by 2024. "The link will provide Switch data center customers in Central Texas with access to LOGIX's fiber network, which comprises more than 300,000 fiber miles." (LightWave Online)
