- A residential structure fire "in the 2100 block of Redwing Way" Thursday "resulted in the death of one animal." When firefighters responded, the fire seemed to be coming out of the garage and through the roof. Three dogs were in the home at the time of the fire, and one succumbed to injuries. The home is expected to be a total loss due to the damages sustained. At this time, the fire is thought to be "accidental in nature and remains under investigation." (City of Round Rock)
- Applications for Round Rock ISD's Early College High School program began Nov. 27 and ends Jan. 27. With this program, students can earn a high school diploma and up to 60 transferrable college credit hours through a partnership with Austin Community College, at no charge.
