Round Rock Seeks To Fill Boards And Commissions Vacancies

Council members hope to fill two Planning and Zoning Commission seats and a Capital Improvements Advisory Committee ad hoc member slot.

ROUND ROCK, TX — Applications are currently being accepted for three vacancies on City of Round Rock Boards and Commissions through Friday, officials said.

Those wishing to apply have until 5 p.m. on Feb. 12. Local boards and commissions enable citizens to participate in Round Rock city government by bringing diverse viewpoints to decision-making and advisory processes, officials explained.

Members are appointed by the city council each year in August and as needed when vacancies occur. Terms last two years and are staggered, with no member serving more than eight consecutive years on any one board or commission.
