- On Sunday, Jul. 10, fire crews, including Round Rock crews, attempted to contain a fire at the historic home of Dr. James Lee Dickey in Taylor. The historic landmark, home to a physician and civil rights pioneer on the 500 block of Burkett Street, could not be saved and was burned to the ground. (KVUE)
- On Saturday, Jul. 9, Nathan Bohr of Round Rock became the fourth competitor to shoot an 800 series during singles at the 2022 United States Bowling Congress Open Championships. The 42-year-old averaged more than 260 for his six games. (Bowl News)
