1. On Sunday, Jul. 10, fire crews, including Round Rock crews, attempted to contain a fire at the historic home of Dr. James Lee Dickey in Taylor. The historic landmark, home to a physician and civil rights pioneer on the 500 block of Burkett Street, could not be saved and was burned to the ground. (KVUE)
2. On Saturday, Jul. 9, Nathan Bohr of Round Rock became the fourth competitor to shoot an 800 series during singles at the 2022 United States Bowling Congress Open Championships. The 42-year-old averaged more than 260 for his six games. (Bowl News)
