  1. The city of Round Rock will honor James Watson, the high school student whose valiant actions helped others during the March tornado outbreak. James, a then-Success High School student and Walmart employee, helped guide customers into the store and to safety. At the Jun. 9 Round Rock city council meeting, council members will decide if James receives the Mayor’s Special Recognition Award. (KXAN)

St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center is one of the best options for stroke treatment in Central Texas and beyond, according to Jimmy Taylor, a clinical nurse coordinator at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center. Amy Taylor, the hospital’s manager of cardiovascular services, agreed and said that the hospital’s new neurointerventional biplane machine has enabled health care professionals to perform thrombectomies at the Round Rock facility.
