  1. Many "In God We Trust" posters are popping up in public schools due to a new law, Senate Bill 797, which requires Texas schools to display the posters if they are donated. According to Jenny Caputo, a spokesperson for the Round Rock Independent School District, the conservative nonprofit organization called Moms for Liberty donated the posters to all RRISD campuses. (The Texas Tribune)
  2. On Thursday night, Aug. 18, the Round Rock Independent School District board voted not to censure two trustees, Mary Bone and Danielle Weston, for walking out of the Sep. 14, 2021 meeting. Three voted to censure the two trustees, three voted not to censure the trustees, and one abstained. (KXAN)
