  1. On Jun. 9, around 30 Round Rock ISD parents, grandparents, and community taxpayers gathered outside the the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and petitioned the TEA to remove Superintendent Hafedh Azaiez and penalize the RRISD board of trustees for their allegedly illegal actions. Those alleged action include an "illegal $10 million tax hike, arrests of concerned parents and taxpayers, and the reinstatement of a superintendent accused of sexual impropriety and oppression of board trustees who oppose him."   2. Round Rock City Council approved an amendment to an ordinance that reduces the number of permitted bars in downtown Round Rock. Previously, 12 bars were permitted downtown, and the new amendment reduces the number to 11. The vote was unanimous, but Place 1 Council Member Michelle Ly abstained due to owning three businesses downtown. (Community Impact)
  3. The City of Round Rock is updating the Arts and Culture Master Plan to address community interests and needs "that affect demand for cultural facilities and programing." The AECOM team members will be conducting a study and would like to hear from the community from Jun. 28 through Jun. 30 at the Downtowner Gallery. (City of Round Rock)
