  1. On Jun. 16, the Round Rock ISD board of trustees passed its proposed budget in a 4-0 vote, with Xiao, Bone, and Weston absent. Places 2 and 7 Trustees Mary Bone and Danielle Weston broke quorum, leaving the board without a quorum until Place 5 Trustee Amy Weir, who had COVID-19, could travel to attend the meeting in person.   2. On Jun. 14, the Round Rock ISD school board accepted Place 1 Trustee Jun Xiao's resignation. The board is now looking for candidates to serve temporarily in the Trustee Place 1 position until the November 2022 election. (FOX 7 Austin)
  3. On Jun. 23, the City of Round Rock will host a job fair to fill critical vacancies in city departments. From 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., job seekers can meet face-to-face with city representatives regarding job openings. Located at the United Heritage Center at Dell Diamond, 3400 E. Palm Valley Boulevard.   4. Coastal Ridge Real Estate will build a new 225-unit project within the 1,200 acre Avery Centre master planned community in Round Rock. There will be one, two, and three-bedroom homes for renters. Renters will have access to a resort-style pool, clubhouse, walking trails, and a fitness center on the 20-acre site. (Connect CRE)
