Here are the top three stories today in Round Rock:
- On the afternoon of Jul. 22, a man approached a child on a playground at a Round Rock ISD elementary school. The Round Rock ISD Police Department is investigating the incident and reviewing security video. As of Jul. 25, RRISD has not found any video showing the suspect or his vehicle. RRISD will have increased presence and police patrols at summer school pick-up and drop-off spots through the end of the program on Jul. 29. (KVUE)
- At around 10:22 p.m. on Jul. 24, an unknown "fireball" was seen in the sky in Round Rock, other Texas towns, and as far north as Indiana. Footage from security cameras, including one in Round Rock, that shows the fireball streaking across the sky is going viral on social media. According to NASA, fireballs are "exceptionally bright meteors that are spectacular enough to be seen over a very wide area." (1063 The Buzz)
